    Terrible
Imagine if AI took the plot of all romantic movies out there, sprinkled with the most basic "life lesson" moments: there you go, you have this film. Every plot point is predictable to the point where you feel like you are watching a Hallmark movie and not a big budget film like I believe this was judging from the cast. Also the acting from the main actors is completely terrible... Such a shame because I really enjoy the nobody/ superstar romance idea. The only thing that is somewhat decent are the songs. Do yourself a favor and skip this one. There are much better romance movies out there. If you want a good musical, go watch Mamma Mia! Instead.

    No originally, completely predictable
I've always enjoyed films with Owen Wilson but this was quite a let down. If you can get over the awful music, autotune and lyrics which could have been written by a slow 5 year old it's just about watchable. The whole film was incredibly predictable and has been done a million times before, there are whole sections of the movie which you could cut out and you'd still be able to keep track. I honestly couldn't find a single ounce of originality in the whole movie.

Side note: what's with her hair going from sling to a bob when her hair extensions are for the shorter bob? Did she get a haircut midway through the movie or something?

JLo goes to a whole new Level
JLo is all heart and just gets better and better.

If all celebs comported themselves like she does, the world would be a far better, safer and more vibrant place. Thanks JLo and Kudos to Owen Wilson for holding his own in a very difficult and sincere role.

The film weaves together relationship, fame and education, comedy, music and wisdom to tell a real story of how to face our fears and shake off the need for external approval, no matter how demanding.

It shines new light on the caustic effect of social media without disregarding how it can be used for Good.

It deal w real life questions like divorce, personal crisis, failure, humiliation and how without intellectual honesty, we can squander our lives and those of everyone around us.

    J-Lo is not an actor
I was expecting the cheesy plot and plot holes but J-Lo was very bad in this. You see no emotion whether she is happy or sad, and her face expressions are utterly fake! This was very hard to watch even on a 2-hour plan ride.

The only good actor in this is the daughter. The songs are cliche and from another era.

Spoiler: movie about an impossible love story between a pop star and a math teacher whose daughter is a genious. I don't have anything to add, trying to fill the required characters quota but that should be half of it for this kind of hallmark movie. Not worth the watch not even as white noise.

    Lopez Triple Threat Confirmed
Sometimes the critical description for Jennifer Lopez films is "surprisingly", followed by entertaining, funny and enjoyable. I admit I used to be surprised at what a good actress she is, from "Salina", "Enough", "Wedding Planner", and all the others we have enjoyed. And I like this film in particular because it showcases all of her triple threat talents - singer, dancer, actress, and a fourth, gorgeous. I loved the music that reminded me of what a great singer she is. It's a well written and executed, though predictable, romcom, There is hardly anything wrong with this movie . Then there's the Robert Goulet thing that made me cry. Owen Wilson always has a chance with the ladies in my opinion, even Jennifer Lopez.

Not bad way to spend an evening
Yes, it's self-promoting for JLo, but it does wind up being entertaining. One thing in particular that made me smile is that "Kat" is almost 30 years older than "Bastian" the man she is going to marry in the beginning. JLo is attractive and it isn't until the closeups that you notice how much work has been done on her face. This must be the first time that a May-December wedding is reversed. Prime showed it for free so it that made it even better. It is a fun watch and does have some good moments with some good take aways. It is a decent rom-com with some dramatic moments. The premise is totally far-fetched, but then again, it is a movie and movies are supposed to be entertaining.
