cricketbat - 7 October 2023 A children's horror movie with fun visuals with some creepy moments I didn't really know what Nightbooks was when my daughter suggested we watch it. However, when my wife mentioned that Sam Raimi was involved with it, I figured it was worth a shot. This movie is made for older children, so the plot is pretty simplistic, but where it really shines in the visuals. It's dark, yet colorful, and the style of the storytelling keeps you engaged. It also manages to sneak in a few genuinely creepy moments that were fun for me, but maybe a little too intense for my youngest children. Nevertheless, Nightbooks was a pleasant surprise. I may have to read J. A. White's book now.
seyhansable - 29 May 2022 This was incredible! I loved every minute of this movie. I'm 36yo f who loves horror movies, Tim Burton, Halloween, 80's aesthetic so this was perfect for me. Highly recommend to anyone who likes the same things.
jeshabellesabado - 29 December 2021 For Kids Kids under 10 would probably enjoy this. The things the bothers me is mostly the child acting, it feels forced and just cringey but i guess since they're a child it can slide. The dialogue bothers me, it's so...bland. The stroy telling part could've been better instead of being....just story telling. Why does netflix keep churning out stuff like this.
