Halloween Kills

Halloween Kills

The nightmare isn't over as unstoppable killer Michael Myers escapes from Laurie Strode's trap to continue his ritual bloodbath. Injured and taken to the hospital, Laurie fights through the pain as she inspires residents of Haddonfield, to rise up against Myers. Taking matters into their own hands, the Strode women and other survivors form a vigilante mob to hunt down Michael and end his reign of terror once and for all.

Urgh how'd you get it so wrong after the first one?
Ok, it's not perfect but David Gordan Green first Halloween did a lot right.

Threw away all the rubbish post Halloween 1, which means the stupidity of 2.

And then reintroduces it in this one.

Wow - how to ruin it instantly,.

Whereas in the first one people are intelligent and die because Myers has the drop or size/strength factor (must be all that gym action at the Asylum) in this one they turn into the typical stupid people do stupid things and die. Ok, admittedly after covid we know the average person is borderline idiots, but... hey want something to relate to.

Actors do a great job, and the direction is great, but hell that story... derp.

There's a very halfcocked "Oh look at the danger of mobs" without it really doing anything - just killing some random you didn't care about anyway.

The ending is just stupid... nothing else to say about it...

Halloween Kills (2021) Deaths, deaths, deaths
The continuation of the Halloween revival was not so necessary, but it was also possible to do something interesting with what was left at the end of the previous film. However, here we only follow a story that should connect the first and third films. The plot is terrible. Featuring lame characters who make very dumb decisions and are only in the film to have an obvious fate. The editing is ridiculous in every moment that tries to present a flashback, as if the viewer wasn't watching the film. All that is presented here are deaths, which at least are well done. Most of the events are unnecessary and didn't need an entire film to be shown.

Disappointing and Frustrating: Halloween Kills Misses the Mark
As an avid moviegoer and a fan of the Halloween franchise, I was incredibly disappointed by Halloween Kills. This film, unfortunately, fails to live up to the expectations set by its predecessors.

One of the major downfalls of Halloween Kills is its lackluster execution of suspense and horror. Instead of creating a tense atmosphere, the situations portrayed in the movie come across as silly and contrived. It felt like the filmmakers were more interested in shocking the audience with over-the-top and unrealistic scenarios rather than delivering a genuinely scary experience.

Moreover, the characterization and decision-making of the individuals in the movie were questionable, at best. The actions of the characters often seemed implausible and illogical, which further detracted from the film's overall credibility. Instead of feeling invested in their struggles, I found myself detached and occasionally frustrated by their choices.

Perhaps the most appalling aspect of Halloween Kills is its overall quality. The plot and dialogue come across as forced and amateurish, failing to engage the audience on any meaningful level. It's disheartening to see such a beloved franchise produce a film that feels so ridiculous and disconnected from what made it successful in the first place.

In conclusion, Halloween Kills is an unfortunate misstep in the Halloween franchise. The lack of genuine suspense, silly situations, and questionable character decisions make the movie not worth the time or patience it requires. I would encourage fans of the franchise to approach this installment with caution, as it may only serve to frustrate and disappoint.

    Wanted to smash my TV!!!
Girl runs in the forest instead of the street with light. Girl gets within 100 meters of mikeyyyy and is scared beyond repair, than Micheal spawns in front of her in the span of 10 seconds. Plus movie is dumb mans got shot 19 times and still killed the whole town including the police force. Also immune to bullets for the whole duration not one single bullet landed because apparently you need to be within one inch to fire a gun at Micheal. Also women can't shoot and apparently are better at shooting themselves. However, once hit with a gun he then brushes it off and begins his mahem. Micheal Myers the man who cant run, use fire arms, jump, nor weive, yet is able to catch up and kill anyone within 2km of his vision. Micheal also got into a house that was guarded by police officers and killed everyone inside the house. This man seems to go wherever he desires as a possible 70 year old ordinary man with no super natural powers, also the bodies of his victims end up in the most odd places for no reason and don't play any benefit to micheal's killing spree (for example sticking out of an attic door.) This movie is just overall dumb and might make you regret your life decisions.

SOLID SEQUEL WITH TRULY CHILLING MOMENTS
David Gordon Green's gruesomely effective ultra-violent sequel to his 2018 box office hit Halloween which ended with Michael Myers the human incarnation of pure evil being burned alive in the booby-trapped basement of Laurie Strode's home as she escaped with her daughter and granddaughter. Laurie, brilliantly played again by Jamie Lee Curtis, is now resting after an emergency operation for a serious knife wound at a local hospital. But the unstoppable Michael rises out of the raging inferno of Laurie's house and begins to brutally kill all the first responders and firefighters at the scene, he then heads towards his childhood town of Haddonfield to continue his bloody rampage of murder. Only this time he will have to face a vengeful mob of traumatized townspeople who are being led by Tommy Doyle, superbly played by Anthony Michael Hall, who as boy witnessed Michael's killings and is now hellbent on stopping his evil for good. Solid direction by Green who makes this suspenseful horror film even more frightening and shocking by the extreme level of graphic and bloody killings caused by Michael. Fine supporting performances by Judy Green, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, Thomas Mann, Jim Cummings, Charles Cyphers, Scott MacArthur, and Nancy Stephens. Striking cinematography by Michael Simmonds, and a terrific score by John Carpenter and his son Cody Carpenter. A compelling horror show.

    Solid Slasher
I had already heard a lot of bad things before going to the cinema to watch it, so imagine my suprise when the movie turned out actually good. I went with 3 freinds and we all had fun watching it, I think a lot of people are too harsh.

I think a lot of people didn't understand that the maincharacter of this movie isn't Laurie but Michael. The movie does a great job showing how by killing Michael gains more power. Many are for some reason mad, he doesn't really take damage, as if that isn't his whole thing. The kills are well made and creative.

I also want to add that I ove BigJohn and Little John. Honestly one of the most realistic queer rep i've seen. They have chemistry and aren't stereotyped. I really aprecciate that. And also buying a house like that is totally something I'd do lol.
