I wasn't prepared to love this movie as much as I do.
I LOVE this movie. My dog is a border collie lab mix. I love collies and think very highly of them. When I was younger, I dreamt of being a k9 cop so this movie is perfect. I love that a dog breed, that no one expected, became a hero. I love that a man learned to trust his dog. I love the little heartwarming twist at the end. I love that it didn't seem like a super forced script, and that it wasn't filled with stupid try hard comedy. Everything seemed natural. Dogs are incredible creatures and this movie proves it. Even a shelter dog being trained to act in a movie is incredible. I think everyone should see this, it truly is eye opening and heartwarming and just well made.

    Something real
This is a great movie and one that makes you feel better than you did before watching. It's a real story. Some reviewers complain it's predictable. Maybe....but so is a football game, but people still watch for the thrill and outcome.

Ruby is a border collie who has been adopted several times from the shelter but always returned because people don't know how to train or control her. Flash forward to a state trooper who wants to join K-9 search and rescue team been but has been passed over.

Back at the shelter, Ruby going to be put down because nobody wants her and the shelter is full. The trooper learns the team has no more funding for German Shepards and that pretty much means he's not going to be able to get the assignment. However he later learns a K-9 doesn't have to be a German Shepherd, and he visits the shelter to see what's available.

The shelter director convinces him to adopt Ruby to train her and join the program. It's a wonderful story following the training of Ruby, their ups and downs and refinement. They join the K9 search team and not to spoil the surprise it's good.

Rescue a dog, and it rescues you back.
Based on a true story and the dog's not just an actor but a real life rescued dog. It was saved from the Dog Shelter on the day it was to be put to sleep as an unclaimed, unwanted animal. How could a shelter be so cruel to such a beautiful animal? Luckily, Ruby and actor dog, Bear, were not aware of humans' intentions or neither would have dedicated its life to rescuing 'lost' and injured humans from the country's wilderness.

Dog gets top marks for good acting. The cast needs to go back to acting school for more lessons - on how to be human and not be outshone by a dog! A great family movie and that dog is the next 'Lassie'.

    Only Pet Lovers
Awesome Pet Lovers Movie - Definitely it entertains us throughout - Execution matters a lot here - Picturization is good which is unlike all the rest of the movies of same genre.
