    Great story, but why?
This is a wonderfully done story based on the biblical story of Hosea. This was a quality film, in every way. It was a realistic portrayal of the limited choices many women had to support themselves and the abuse that women and children suffered. The story of God's love and forgiveness, and example of His desire for people to freely love Him and was well told. None of us are deserving of His love and yet He went to great lengths to make a way for us to have a loving relationship with Him. I didn't think the simulated sex scenes between Michael and Angel added to the story. It's disappointing to think that people can't imagine the level of desire Angel would have for the man who had rescued her, loved and cared for her, without seeing the mechanics of sex. It actually cheapened the story. I understand the suggestion of nudity because of her profession, and it wasn't offensive to see in the love scenes. We didn't see anyone else having sex in the brothels, so why go to that level in the loving moments between a husband and wife. I did love the movie, it just makes it difficult to share with others.

    The real mean of forgiveness
Till I watched this movie , i always thought that i have a forgiveness for other people and also i thought i am a believer. After that , it really made me to rethink who am i and how really i am a believer or how much sense of humanity i have .

This story and how it been scripted, performed, it's really a big mark in my life and i think to many others who watch this movie, i will remember always this story, despite its a feature movie, but it's turning point.

What it make it more strong, the contrast in story which obviously empowers the role of protagonist .

Watch it guys and enjoy learning forgiveness.

    Endlessly re-watchable.
Redeeming Love was the book of my teenage years. I was a repressed Christian teen and this was the spiciest romance I was allowed to read. At one point, one of my friends and I read the whole thing aloud to each other on a missions trips. However, rereading it as an non-Christian, non-repressed adult, I found it problematic and troubling. I saw my young self getting into toxic relationships partly because of the book, feeling like if I just prayed hard enough, loved them hard enough, God would fix them. I felt like God would want me to stay with them no matter how badly they hurt me.

When I saw this movie was coming out, I had mixed feelings. One night, I drank a little too much and said "why not? Let's relive the story that started it all."

This movie manages to be a movie about where the main characters are Christians and found happiness through it without it being a christian movie... if that makes sense. I'm still 100% atheist but love this movie and the characters and the journey they went on to find each other and find themselves. I've watched this movie probably 10 times and love it more every time.

    OK Soap - Redeeming Love
This is a decent soap acted out be relatively unknown actors and directed by a relatively unknown director. The hooker with a heart of gold is not exactly a new story line, despite the fine novel written by Francine, so despite her erudite handling of the subject matter, the big screen will, sooner or later, get down to basics. Those basics will include the audience suspending disbelief at the likelihood that either person in this relationship will be able to function without any long-lasting damage or effects from the unfortunate events that occurred previous to their meeting. It would be lovely to think that love can conquer all, but in real life, that does not generally happen. Add a star if you are a soap fan.

    Hard to watch...
While the story was good, it was hard to watch. It was disappointing for a Christian based movie that it was so sexually charged. I get the brothel but the close to R - rated body scenes were not needed. I have watched R-rated movies that didn't show as much as this. It just wasn't needed to drive the story. Also, for me a little long and drawn out! Just kept going back and forth from her staying, her leaving, her staying her leaving. Got a little tedious. It really paints men in a horrible light! Only like 2-3 good men in the whole men , everyone else is brutal so the story didn't really give much hope throughout. Just harped on the bad side. I've never read a Francine rivers book and was wanting to read one but this film did not make me wanna rush out and read one. Ugh...
