    We're all connected...
Simply put, this is a masterpiece. Many said on here that the film has a weak story or was derivative. My take is that the story was original, full of funny ironies and evocative of reflection on the mystery of love, connection and loneliness. It was all framed in sci-fi and artificial intelligence.

The lead actor portrays a soldier who temporarily has a taste of love and bliss, before it's all ripped away. He still hopes to find his lost love - when her literal legacy falls into his neatly packaged world, forcing him to question everything.

The film then hits you with a number of twists and changes in perspective on the part of our hero. The cute little android is such fun to follow on this journey.

    Good Movie
The Creator, directed by Gareth Edwards, is an ambitious sci-fi film that tackles the age-old conflict between humans and artificial intelligence. Set in a future where AI has developed to near-human levels of sophistication, the film explores themes of identity, empathy, and the consequences of technological advancements.

    **Plot and Setting**

The story unfolds in a world where AI beings, called "Simulants," coexist uneasily with humans. The plot centers around Joshua (John David Washington), a former soldier tasked with locating the elusive "Creator," the architect of the AI revolution. Joshua's journey is a deeply personal one, marked by loss and a desire for redemption.

The film's setting is visually stunning, with sprawling, futuristic landscapes juxtaposed against war-torn environments. Edwards' knack for creating immersive worlds is on full display, drawing viewers into a visually rich and detailed future.

    **Characters and Performances**

John David Washington delivers a compelling performance as Joshua, balancing the character's tough exterior with moments of vulnerability. Gemma Chan, playing Maya, adds depth to the narrative with her nuanced portrayal of a character caught between two worlds. The supporting cast, including Ken Watanabe and Allison Janney, contribute solid performances, though some characters feel underdeveloped.

    **Themes and Execution**

The Creator delves into philosophical questions about the nature of consciousness and the ethical implications of creating life. The film raises thought-provoking points about what it means to be human and the responsibilities that come with playing god. However, while these themes are intriguing, the film sometimes struggles to balance them with its action-packed plot.

The pacing can be uneven, with certain segments dragging while others rush through key moments. The script, though ambitious, occasionally falls into familiar sci-fi tropes, which can make parts of the narrative feel predictable.

    **Visuals and Sound**

Visually, The Creator is a feast for the eyes. The special effects are top-notch, seamlessly blending CGI with practical effects to create a believable world. The cinematography is striking, with sweeping shots that capture the scale of the film's universe. The score, composed by Hans Zimmer, complements the visuals with a powerful and evocative soundtrack that enhances the emotional beats of the story.

    **Conclusion**

The Creator is a visually stunning and thought-provoking sci-fi film that tackles complex themes with varying degrees of success. While it may not break new ground in the genre, it offers a compelling narrative and strong performances that make it worth watching. Its flaws, such as uneven pacing and occasional reliance on clichés, are balanced by its ambitious scope and emotional depth.

For fans of sci-fi and those interested in the ethical dilemmas of artificial intelligence, *The Creator* provides a satisfying experience. It may not achieve greatness, but it certainly leaves a lasting impression.

Ghost in the Shell, but bad.
The Creator has very nice visuals and the cast performs well on a really predictable and poor script with washed out clichés.

It is 2024 and still a robot can hack wirelessly into a lawnmower because is a robot. Of course it is a machine talking to its kind, why not.

The plot is about a secret agent having a love relationship with his target unknowingly. His love partner and unknowingly target is the ultimate artificial intelligence engineer, who is never seen studying or using a computer, either by movie watchers or the secret agent apparently.

The movie reeks "Ghost in the Shell inspiration" all the time, but still fails to provide a coherent story.
