CGI Action Packed by with Plenty of Comic Relief
The movie begis following one of the many 'characters' as they all board a bullet train with different motives. The plots often overlap requiring reference scenes from earlier. The gore in this film is brutal, with deaths ranging from snake bites, to being cut in half by a sign while moving 200MPH. I personally don't like the gore, but it often gave an opening for one of the main characters to make a statement that was often funny.

As we all know this was largely CGI, but there were a ton of difficult effects that I was not expecting. The camera moves and pans through endless carnage while maintaining a sense of continuity.

It's definitely not a favorite and I doubt I watch it again, but if you have nothing to do, give it a try.

People love to criticise. Excellent film
This film hasn't had a lot of hype and thus has so far lived off the perceptions of the super critical "film buffs". I enjoyed this far far more than some big film releases recently that have a lot of exposure, are enjoyable to a degree but fall a bit flat.

This film is fun, witty and action packed from the start of the film to the end..The story is easy to follow but has plenty of twists and turns..every actor plays their part brilliantly and the camera work / imagination of the director and creative team really is first rate. I think it's an instant classic which I'm going to watch many times.

    This was fun to watch
Action on a bullet train can be very interesting and they made it work here, guess I found my fix after loving train to busan so much (and never getting another one). A good movie has an uplifting effect on the actors featured in it as well, at least now I find myself with a higher opinion of Brad Pitt and Aaron Taylor-Johnson than before. Cute appearance by Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock as well, my my this is really Hollywood's redeeming act.

Not all actors bask in this glow however. Joey King's character, though written to be unlikable, is actually unlikable. There's a real missed opportunity to be more charismatic, but instead I was counting the minutes for her character to be killed off, so much so that the grand finale brought me less enjoyment than it should, and I only exhaled my breath when Lemon's truck crashed into her. Andrew Koji plays the stoic son too much, perhaps that was simply what was asked? But it felt like he was trying to do the holding back thing all the time it felt flat.

Still, generally very fun film, I enjoyed it.

    Everything done right and more
I never really liked brad Pitt nor hated him or anything. He was just another famous Hollywood actor but after this movie id gladly give my life for this guy. I watched bullet train twice in cinema and bought it in 4k everyone I showed it was laughing and shouting as well, you can watch bullet train multiple times and only discover more stuff and like it more. Seriously the last time I had something like this was with avatar, you just can't get enough of it. It's funny, it's epic, it's dramatic and it's very high quality well done. The characters, the music, the actors the villains the plot the setting it's just a masterpiece. I played a lot of games, watched a lot of shows ans movies and this is clearly somewhere in my top tens. You just can't regret watching it. I rarely write reviews or even rate anything but bullet train is an exception. I might even give it a 10/10 but it's just too short. Should've done a 3 hour version smh. No but the length is juuuust right. Not too short and not too long. But obviously i'dve liked it longer. Other than the only criticism I have is probably the ugly cover/movie poster I keep seeing. Probably scared a few people off.

Thrilling film to watch in your freetime!
David Leitch is the filmmaker of the action and comedy movie "Bullet Train." Leitch created the film to construct a story so the viewer would understand everything happening. They disclosed details about the assassins' prior lives and motivations. Zak Olkewicz wrote the script with a nonlinear narrative structure with numerous ups and downs. The movie's protagonist, "The Ladybug," played by Brad Pitt, is intended to be unfortunate no matter where he is. As Johathan Sela filmed the entire action on the bullet train, it captured the mood to establish the scenario. It gives the audience a way to picture a dystopian framework. Every significant character in the film was an assassin attempting to assassinate a different member of the assassin organization. For every one of them, it was passionately played and excellently acted. Brad Pitt performs a fantastic job playing the movie's massive problem. The fighting throughout the narrative made it exciting and funny to watch. Jonathan Sela filmed the camera work from high and low angles to convey the movie's significance. The film's editing was flawless and used cutting-edge technology to integrate all visual graphics. The mystery surrounding this movie adds to the drama in the film, making it noteworthy and well-viewed.

Lucky Number Slevin with even less brains
I enjoyed this movie, but really because I didn't go into it expecting it to be anything more than an also-ran.

We've seen this style of movie before in the likes of Tarantino classics like Pulp Fiction, or an Edgar Wright or Guy Ritchie standard. Lots of style and lots of frenetic story telling. I consider them punk neo-noir.

The aim is something like "overwhelm your audience with tons of characters and tons of exposition vis a vis flashbacks and hopefully earn your big twists along the way." Whereas films like Kill Bill and Hot Fuzz and Snatch do this masterfully, this movie comes up a bit short. It's just not as cleanly done and clever as those movies are are tying it all together in a neat bow. That's a writing failing.

Aside from that, the movie is well paced and well directed and a lot of fun to watch. The cameos are welcome, the product placements are eye rolling and embarrassing, but I think it's easy to look past by the end of the movie.

Entertaining movie but a bad comedy
Bullet Train is difficult to review. It fails at being what it is supposed to be - a comedy, but on the other hand it is a very well crafted movie with many great aspects.

It is obvious that the writers and director know their craft. The movie is professionally done and follows all the rules of how to create a great movie.

The plots all fit together and in the end even naturally merge into one big one. And at no point does a plot feel out of place.

Almost every scene contains either a setup or a payoff, there is almost nothing in this movie that could be removed without hurting some other part. The "Diesel" payoff might be the best of the movie and even though it wasn't particularly deep or complex, it just worked very very well because it had a lot of different setups that touched the viewer in different ways.

The characters are another strong point, every character has a strong motiviation to be there and they all act according to their unique personality.

And wow, the cast... very diverse, good actors, memorable faces and lots of characters that look familiar but not familiar enough to recognize them. Best example is "White Death", he seemed familiar but I could not figure out that it is Michael Shannon.

And even "famous" actor Brad Pitt did not overshadow his role with his fame or personality.

The biggest/only issue is the comedy aspect of the movie. Humor is hit-or-miss, sadly mostly miss, but it tries really hard to be funny. So hard, almost all of it seems forced and it ruins many dialogues. But the movie still was entertaining from beginning to end and a few jokes were pretty good.

I feel like if the movie didn't have comedy and focused on the darker and more serious aspects it could have been a great mystery action thriller. Instead we got a bad comedy forced into a good movie with a lot of potential.

One of the best movie in the last few years
Man... I loved this movie so much. I had way too much fun. Everything happens fast, but everything makes sense... the jokes about luck in the movie are amazingly done. The characters all have some kind of development to the point where you see yourself attached to all the characters. And one of the best things in this movie is this: no political propaganda, just fun, action and so on... maybe that is the reason some critics did not like it much, because it did not added anything to their agenda. Anyways, I recommend this movie to anyone, it has a lot of violence, but no sensual things, so it usually ok to watch with kids depending of your culture...

    Solid fun
I haven't had so much fun watching a movie in quite a long time - I was joyfully grinning almost throughout the whole movie. It's a non-stop sequence of violent or unexpected stuff, it's great!

All the actors are amazing, including several cameos - all but the main villain. It feels like we're back in 80's with what villains we get lately, including speaking foreign language with a horrible terrible accent. With how great the rest of the film is, it's a crying shame what they decided to do to a villain character. Ugh!

It's still a great fun though, I was delighted to watch it even considering the bland finale - the journey itself was amazing!

    A masterpiece in my opinion
I loved this film and didn't want it to stop. I thought every character was played brilliantly and it made me laugh constantly. I didn't want it to stop, it has been a while since a film of such entertainment that didn't take itself too seriously has been made. It was well shot and needed attention from the viewer, but given that attention it was a masterpiece. Full of big names and great performances, completely different and I can't imagine what anyone who didn't like it is looking for in the name of entertainment but this film is unsurpassable in my honest opinion. Very well done and very well thought out.
