    Realistic
The movie started at a slow pace while featuring the life of a simple Farmer/Rancher with a Realistic routine and chores.

The mystery about the identity of Old Henry started when he showed a great skill in hiding the wounded man's trail perfectly then the sneak up scene showed a very skillful man that makes you wonder how did he end up as a farmer and who is he.

I rated the movie 10 because I'm a huge fan of western genre and I read a lot about Billy The Kid this fictional story about how he really died is very good and the twist that showed that he is Billy The Kid is amazing because at first I thought he is someone who rode with Billy The Kid not the man himself !!

Realistic gang fight at the end with the reloading and positioning of Billy was a true masterpiece shows The BEST Gunslinger in history against some hired guns.

The curiosity of the son about his old man is understandable also it's 1906 the end of The Wild West era and the beginning of the civilization the boy wants to live his life and explore the world.

Lastly the cast is amazing we got Stephen Dorff from True Detective S3 who did a wonderful portrait of a Silver Tongued gang leader and the amazing act of Tim Blake Nelson who perfected his role.

What an underrated a movie !

    who to believe ??
A wounded bank robber on the run is taken in by a farmer and his son. They are just being good samaritans, but they don't realize what they are in for. The trackers are still after the stolen money, but now the bank robber claims to be the law. Who to believe? Neither the house guest nor the trackers are telling the truth. Not a lot of action in the first half of the film. Then things really pick up... when the showdown starts. So much cussing, gun fighting, and general violence. It's good! Some fun twists and turns along the way. Written and directed by potsy ponciroli. He had directed super zeroes, another movie featured on roku this month.

    Gavin Lewis sucks
Would have been a good movie, but Gavin Lewis is a bad bad actor. Also, Scott Haze was kinda meh. I like. Stephen Dorf from the True detective season 3, here, he did ok. The storyline is kinda predictable and the shootout at the end could have been better. It felt like I saw this movie at least 6 times - old guy who was something is hiding and pretending to be a regular guy and then, all of a sudden, he is god. I was expecting a more though out plot line in the begining, when he finds the guy and nurses him. Could have gone in various ways, now, how it is, it will die off as an average movie at best. But Gavin Lewis really screws it up bad, I was so angry seeing him on the screen.

Nice little western movie that might help you like the genre
Haven't seen too many Western movies before. So I can't really compare this with other western movies. But i think i am beginning to like the genre. If you have never seen an Western movie before i think this is a nice recent western movie to watch that might help you like the genre.

One thing i noticed is that the son of Old Henry, Wyatt is wearing some nice pair of leather chukka desert boots. I don't think that is historically correct is it ? They become populair in the 1940 / 50s or so. But i forgive them for that. Other than that the cinematography looks pretty good overall. Also the audio, casting and acting is nice and decent. The storyline that is told is solid but somehow not good enough

Is is a nice little movie filmed in only a few locations. Mostly in and around the farm.

Why don't they make movies like this anymore?
This reminds me of the excellence that was The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. I actually think it's a little better! If you love storytelling, subtle dialogue, twists that aren't given away, pacing character studies, characters you'll care about, storylines and themes that aren't overdone, coming of age stories that are realistic, villains that aren't over the top, supporting characters that also have depth, leading actors delivering at the top of their game, Westerns that are gritty, gore-y and gray...then this is a MUST SEE!!!!! YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. And the finale??? Sheesh. PERFECTION.

    Bad start good ending
Recent movies have been really bad, but this one is actually quite good. The lead actor was a bit unconvincing but overall a good movie. The scenes are realistic and the plot believable.
