Good photography can't make bad script good
As it produced by Netflix, script has to contain at least a character represents minority group. It's a must, because most important Netflix recepie is adding random minority character to script even it has any goal in movie or not.

Movie is kind of soup of cliché conflicts and random script details that support that clichés like Scandinavian and Mediterranean, hot and cold or perfectionist and "let it go" ist...

Eventually landscapes and director of photography is carrying movie. Nothing else is touching to audience. The script is totally predictable. So that, if you watch movie without sound, I'm sure you'll understand what's going on.

    3/10: good photography series.

I would have liked this, but...
What is going on with the sound? Is it dubbed? The sound from voices is surely from an amateurish editor. Abysmal. They should have paid more for a sound editor. I really wanted to like this film. I love films about chefs and cooking. The acting seems fine, and the script and cinematography are more than adequate. The acting is absolutely fine.

The action in the kitchen is on par, and the frustration and reaction between characters is realistic, especially the repressed anger.

I would watch this all the way through if the sound was fixed.

The sound of dialogue lets this film down. Please release it again with a more professional sound edit.

    Sweet & beautiful
I love the setting, cinematography highlighting the beauty of Italian countryside. The script is a bit awkward at times with some cliché elements but not cringey. I enjoyed it very much though, quite engaging & sweet. The acting were actually quite good in most scenes.

So boring - and I usually love Danish films
This was an utter bore-fest from beginning to end. No chemistry between the Danish Chef and the Italian waitress. Also, that plate of olives, parmesan cheese and deli meats turned my stomach. Who eats parm cheese like that? Not me. However, I digress, mainly because the culinary aspects were literally the ONLY interesting parts of the snoozefest of a movie. I did like how the Italian woman took all the flowers off the food plate - hahaha!

Also the comparison between icy Denmark and warm and colourful Italy really stood out.

The Danish actors were also cold and icy. I did not enjoy them at all particularly the lead actor. Very dull and grumpy. I could not see what the Italian woman saw in him at all.

I kept looking to see how much time was left to watch, that's how bad it got. I can't believe I made it to the end. Terrible script and awful acting. Super disappointing.
