This movie and the special mssage of the lead actor after the credits brought tears to my eyes, which doesn't happen that often to me after a movie
Why the hatrid when it comes to such a beautiful movie that is showing us a possible way to find redemption, peace of mind, real love?!

There is a line here that is talking about the worst thing in life, which is selfishness... Have you never ever felt lost and lonely, have you never ever wanted to have somebody by your side when you had to face horrible things to listen to you and help you cope with them?! Have you always been happy with everything that's happening to you?

Do you think that if we isolate each other in our own corner and blame it all on the others, it is going to solve everything?

I don't think so and this movie is helping us all ask the right questions.... If I want this world to be a better place, it has to start with myself... I need to set an example and have others follow it, hopefully... Other than these considerations I need to point out that this is a movie that is made with lots of love and conviction and it breathes all through it. The actors are doing a great job and there is not a single superfluous moment. To me this is one of the best movies ever, but then OK, look first in the mirror and think of who you really are and how much of the things in this world and in your life that you don't like are due, as well, to parts of you...

    A movie with depth... FINALLY!
My husband first showed me the trailer and I didn't think much of it but having watched The Chosen. And The Sound of Freedom I knew it would have sone religious undertones.

My husband has wrestled with the book of Job. Asking questions like, "Why would god take everything away from Job and allow the devil mess with Job, only for God to then humble Job and give it all back to Job and then some (i.e.,health, new wife, children and prosperity). So the fact that he would want to watch this specific movie without knowing it would be about the book of Job to my surprise is by no means a coincidence. I gave this movie an 8/10 because I felt that the script could have been further developed to improve the flow of the story. Some can have been explained more and others less but overall I enjoyed the plot from beginning to end.

The Shift is a breadth of fresh air and film with substance as Hollywood continues to regurgitate retellings of films of the past (Jumanji, Ghostbusters, Godzilla, Rocky movies now Creed, Jurassic Park, the list goes on and on and on...) Thank you for this film Angel Studios, 10/10 would recommend to friends and family.

    Hot Mess
A lot of 10 star ratings skewing the reality of this films quality.

This thing is a Christian-centric message, there is no deigning this. It is incredibly heavy handed. If that's your thing, then ignore my review, this movie was literally made for you.

This flow of this film tries really hard to be a normal movie but it's clearly written and directed by someone who has a Christian message that want to deliver and isn't interested in creating a movie for anyone who isn't already primed to receive this message.

It is labeled sci-fi but it is not science based it is god-fi, or more specifically christian-fi.

The flow of the film is terrible.

There is no redemption in the cinematography.

There is no redemption in the score.

The characters are uninteresting and shallow.

I cannot recommend anyone watch this.
