    Weak retread of Ghostbusters Afterlife
I'm only giving this five stars because it was fun to see Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Ernie Hudson donning their Ghostbuster attire again. Not much good to say after that, though. This follow up to the entertaining.2021 Ghostbusters Afterlife was a disappointment and no where as good as it. Sure, the special effects were there, but the story and plot weren't, probably because Jason Reitman didn't direct it. A lot from Afterlife were recycled here, which is a red flag in a sequel.

The humor was weak, and Paul Rudd's. Grooberson's character horribly annoying throughout the movie. If there's been a character in a 2024 movie dumber than him, I'd be surprised.

Unlike Afterlife, this movie was pushing the boundaries in regards to young kids. Some pretty scary stuff in it. Much more so than Afterlife. Bottom line, watch it for free if you can. I'm glad I didn't fork out $10 at the theater.

    Story dragged a little long
The story dragged a little long, we felt like it took too long to get to the point of the plot. I think they could have condensed this movie into just 1 1/2 hours vs almost 2 hours (or maybe it was because we watched the bonus edition, not sure). My husband and son were rather bored while watching. I liked the throwbacks to the original movie but some of the dialogue was clunky and there were multiple plot holes throughout the movie that made this movie less enjoyable. Overall we were disappointed and had hoped for a better movie. This is just ok compared to the last Ghostbusters movie with Paul Rudd.

    Disappointing!
I finally got around to watching the latest Ghostbusters tonight. And I have to say that I'm disappointed.

I enjoyed seeing the original (surviving) members reunited. That was really nice. But the script wasn't very good. The story just wasn't there for a feature film. We had to go through the whole 'Ghostbusters being arrested' thing. Even though they had saved the city multiple times before. The writing was just disappointing.

If it wouldn't have been for the old cast, I would have rated it a two or three.

I truly hope this is the last Ghostbusters movie. Two of the last three were dogs. Anyways, it was nice seeing the old cast one last time.

Good followup... bigger ending needed though
I would say this had a lot of very cool additions to the story and character progression. New technology was cool to see.... and new ghost variants... along with some older favorites. Just wish the ending has a little more scenes with the main evil spirt. I would say it's a must watch in the series, but not the strongest of all of them. Looking forward to the next Ghost Busters movie with the Spieglers and the original cast!!!

    P. S. If you had children that liked the last one.... Definatly more spooky in some parts for my younger children that were okay with the last one. Although my 8 year old liked it a lot.
