    Tension with some tropes
I generally don't watch anything that starts with a female character dying in the first 10 minutes (I'm sick of that trope in almost all mystery, crime, and horror films). Old People is fast-paced and gory and superior to 75% of recent Hollywood slasher films. It's obvious that the low ratings come from lazy, uneducated, ignorant viewers who don't bother with subtitles and compare everything with Hollywood garbage. As with all horror films (Polish, German, French or American films), the characters do some pretty stupid stuff (and these people are well-educated Germans not illiterate Americans), but the movie doesn't waste time nor does it over explain. I'm glad there are more films that have less dialogue and more grey characters (though there should be at least two likable characters). Old People is disturbing but straightforward. Watch with an open-minded friend or partner who likes European films and doesn't mind subtitles.

A movie that could have been good but doesn't live up to its potential
Old People (Netflix) is a movie on Netflix about a couple heading to a wedding in a strange small town in the country. The town is plagued by a growing number of old people whom reside there for reasons unknown to the locals. Everywhere you turn there seems to be someone who could use some help or assistance...until they turn on the locals and begin taking society over...

This movie is written and directed by Andy Fetscher (The Depraved) and stars Jolene Andersen (Agents of SHIELD), Adolfo Assor (Victoria), Betsy Baker (The Evil Dead), Melika Foroutan (The Empress) and Eveline Hall (The Devil Conspiracy).

The storyline is essentially Children of the Corn, but with old people. There was a lot of potential with this picture. The background music and intense nature of the attacks was really good. The acting was impressive by the elder cast members, who out performed the main characters. The camera angles and lighting was also perfect. The makeup to emphasize the look of the elder characters was also solid...I just wanted a little more from the kill scenes. The attacks are brutal and intense but the actual kills fell short.

Overall, this is a movie that could have been good but doesn't live up to its potential. I would score this a 5.5-6/10 and recommend seeing it once.

    Karma
There's a lot of assumption that it's somehow unfair to portray older individuals as crazed murderers, but this hauntingly warns us to treat everyone with the same kindness lest they turn against us... I enjoyed the lingering question of whether there might have been a logic to their rage or if it was something supernatural (what made them all turn at the same time?) Kim may well have just seen something in the old man's eyes that inspired her to let her demons out.

However, that gun was left out way too much for nefarious characters not to seize their chance. I wouldn't mind a sequel set in high-rise student accommodation though...

that is a very good horror
I haven't seen a good horror for a long time. That film kept me in tension and fear and awe. I really can understand why they started to kill, they felt forgotten , they felt envy of people who were young. The mother and the father were good parents, that needs to be noted. The viewer , in my humble opinion, got what they wanted from a horror movie and more. The film is quite better in the original version, dubbing takes the fun away, even if you don' t know the language,. The conclusion: respect old people because you can be old and forgotten one day. On the other hand, why do they forget about you? It can be just your own fault.

    Worst movie I've ever seen
This movie has to be the worst movie ive ever seen in my whole entire life the plots didn't even make sense for one and for two tell me how a 60 year old man is stronger than a dad whos like 40. The part that really got me was when the old dude was killing people with a metal ball and they all had guns , lady deadass shot the old dude and he dodged it like john wick then hit her with a metal ball the part that makes me mad the most was when the old man deadass turned into a old zombie john wick it was just an overall bad movie if u want to watch a movie that will make you mad watch this.................

    Rubbish
I'm not sure what I'm watching here. I thought at first it was about weak and helpless old people who by some supernatural power became evil and wreak havoc, until I saw one of them pass out after some physical altercation like a normal human being, powerless as he was tied to an oven.

So if they're strong enough to attack and terrorize everyone, why stay in the senior home like they have no choice to begin with? Leave the town and have fun living your senior lives elsewhere instead of killing people off because you're supposedly abandoned, lol.

It's overall bad, the plot, the concept, the depressing color tone, the acting. Sometimes when a horror movie is bad it can at least be fun. This one is both bad and meh. I kept waiting and waiting for something good to happen and it never did.

I regret the time spent watching this as I was looking for some Halloween fun, this was anything but.
