    Superb!
This is the second movie with Joel Smallbone that I have seen. The other one is Priceless (2016), with him in the lead and also stars Amber Midhunter. That too was an excellent movie with a great soundtrack, the main song played by For King and Country.. Now I will admit Joel is not an outstanding actor, nonetheless he is convincing enough, and I cannot blame him at all since he is a singer and musician first and foremost.

Joel and his brother Luke's band For King and Country is a Christian band. Their sister Rebecca St. James is a solo artist and also a Christian singer.

I loved this movie because it gave an insight of the life of this Australian family, their struggles, their faith and their amazing bond.

Priceless was also an excellent movie, which highlighted women's exploitation. The movie inspired Joel to start a movement in support of exploited and abused women.

    Viewer determines the hero
An Australian music promoter goes belly up after investing in a massive tour. With all possibilities exhausted, he moves his family to Nashville, hoping to start over. With the support of his wife and kids, they get to work surviving in their new home. Doing what he does best, he invests in his daughter and sets out to make her dream of a music career a reality.

This is the true story of how the Smallbones migrated from Australia to America and achieved their dreams of becoming musical sensations. The movie is heavy on Christianity and religion, but the hero is dependent on the viewer. The movie shifts its focus from religion to family, struggle, and the music industry. This movie is definitely for the Christian fan base, but anyone can enjoy it.

    Excellent film encouraging strong families
I was blown away at how good this movie was! I haven't seen a movie by one of these faith-based studios in many years due to their often very poor quality. My kids love For King and Country and were dying to watch this movie. We went as a family, and it did not disappoint. I was brought to tears in several portions of the family. This is not your "everything is clean and shiny" kind of family story. It's pretty raw in some scenes, evoking emotion from me (where I'm typically not very emotional overall). I said afterward that I was shocked that there wasn't an odd-one-out actor/actress. Everyone was believable, to varying extents of course, but that's one thing that non-mainstream films often seem to struggle with is finding believable actors/actresses. That really helped me soak into the story and suspend disbelief. I would say that the beginning of the film felt a little disjointed or loose, but after they arrived in the second location, I felt like the story really flowed well and was really interesting.

This was an excellent movie in my book. This makes me really excited about what these non-Hollywood studios can do now. Having real-life drama, but in a family-friendly manner, is essential. Hollywood isn't doing it anymore, so I'm glad to see For King and Country (among others) are picking up the slack. Well done to all who made this film!
