Beyond Happy Movie Enthusiast
Finally, a clean and well written movie with humor, adventure and mystery. I'm so tired of every movie having sex scenes, I finally found a great movie to watch where I didn't have to rush to cover my kids eyes and or even look away myself. I enjoyed it at the theaters and immediately bought the movie. Kudos to the director, writers and actors. You all did such a wonderful job and the cast was perfect!!! I haven't laughed so hard in a long time; the sarcasm was absolutely hilarious and well done in this movie. I was so engaged in the movie I forgot to eat my popcorn. The film that Dungeons and Dragons fans had been waiting for.
The Dungeons and Dragons franchise was crying out for a good film and I was filled with trepidation when I saw that this had been made. I saw the trailer and was hopeful that it would live up to it. I wasn't disappointed! It is everything that players of the game could have hoped for. It included many fan favourites such as the gelatinous cube and displacer beast along with a great story and good actors relishing their roles. The whole cast are great and Hugh Grant does his usual fantastic job as the baddie who gets his comeuppance in the end. All in all a great film that should have done better at the box office. I hope that with viewings on streaming services this gets the attention it deserves and hopefully many more sequels! - bignuts-06245 - 12 February 2024
Better than I thought it would be, I really liked it!
Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Hugh Grant & Bradley Cooper star in this fantasy adventure film about an imprisoned peacekeeper who escapes prison not realising he's been pardoned anyway & he assembles a team consisting of a barbarian, an amateur sorcerer, a con artist & others as they attempt to make a better life for themselves by thieving but when they attempt to steal the tablet of reawakening so the peacekeeper can bring his dead wife back to life, the peacekeeper & barbarian are captured & imprisoned whilst the con artist runs off with the loot leaving them to rot & so when the peacekeeper & barbarian get free they ambark on a journey together with the amateur sorcerer to find the backstabbing con artist who has turned the peacekeeper's daughter against him with lies & deceit. I wasn't expecting to like this film but really enjoyed it, it's a very creative & fun fantasy adventure & if you haven't seen it yet then I highly recommend watching it.
