The tension between the matches disappeared.
I am a fan of this anime. I love Hinata Shoyo very very very much. But I think making this anime into a movie made the storytelling time too tight. It's so sad.

This anime inspired me , But with limited time, the movie is full of quotes to the point of seeming too stuffed.

Competition between two tiny titans,I don't want to see a quick cut-off with Montage. Until their scores seemed meaningless, The tension between the matches disappeared. I only see friendship between competitors.

The weight of the story places too much emphasis on Hinata and Kenma, to the point where it's like they're two people competing. Other characters are too kept out of the spotlight. There is even air time provided. But they's separated from Hinata and Kenma, only Kuroo still seems to be the highlight of the story sometimes.

I understand that production on part 2 of the movie may have begun. Can you make an anime series as an extension. After making it into a movie version?

I love this anime And thanks to all the team's efforts in creating it. I hope you agree with my opinion. Thank you so much.

As for the visuals of this movie, I really liked Kenma's POV perspective. It gives us insight into what the Setter sees and makes decisions during play.

I'm glad you enjoyed this race, Kenma.

Exactly what could be expected from a Haikyuu movie
It's almost exactly what I expected out of this. For fans of the anime, this is a treat on the big screen. Even though I have already seen all that came before, I was never a huge fan and I remember little since the last season came four years ago. So those may have dampened my experience a little but it must work great for hardcore fans. The girl sitting beside me was certainly excited by the whole thing, trying to make her boyfriend excited, who hadn't seen the series. This is definitely not for anyone not familiar with the series.

The series and this movie always show the hard work and passion of these high school sports players in a very over-the-top almost touching toxic positivity level viewpoint. But it still has an endearing spirit that doesn't exactly make it too annoying. Even though I don't have any aptitude for any kind of sports, every time I watch Haikyuu, it does make me want to push myself physically a little bit. That's one of the things I like about it and keeps me watching this even if the whole thing as a narrative doesn't interest me too much.

Typical Haikyuu experience! Must watch for fans.
Watched the Movie in India ! My first anime movie in theatre. Decent crowd turnout on the first day. Was a bit surprised :) Had binge watched the series in January and waited for the movie since February. Was worth the wait. Watching it on the big screen was a great experience. Dubbed version would've been even better viewing experience without having to read the subtitles!

About the movie. It feels different when compressed into 1 hour 25 minutes run time compared to a season with many episodes.

Many flashback scenes thrown about during the match. But this is what makes the game more emotional. The background score hits right. Kenma pushed to his limits and finally enjoying the game was the best part.
