    Ok-ish movie
GalitzineĀ“s performance is so wooden I was expecting him to plant roots. The plot is predictable. The length of the movie is excruciating. At some places it had me wondered if there was an actual scriptwriter or whether it was written by CHAT GPT. Unlike many other reviewers I actually like the songs and even the singing. And that is about the only thing I like. Some scenes are plain awkard. Take for instance the final "I love you" scene. Galitzine waits so long to respond...So to sum up. This is just a generic romance movies. Good for a boring afternoon when you really need to do some ironing. DonĀ“t expect a tear-jerker...

    Very irritatingly bad lead actress
This movie was made worse by the non existent acting skills of the lead actress.

Not only was the character of the lead actress very irritating but also the actress needs some serious acting class.

Just making awkward faces and that irritating nasally singing voice of hers... oh god... the movie was almost unbearable to watch.

You really can't go with ratings in case of Netflix movies... its just a toss up .

Romance is dead under the weight of propaganda and feminism
When i came across some articles bout Purple Hearts being the most watched movie of Netflix, i thought lemme give it a try. And after watching it, i am thinking about the mental state of the audiences who gave such high praises for such a terrible movie.

STRONG doesn't mean defying common sense and being brash, STRONG doesn't give u the right to be rude, impolite and constant counter attack without reason, STRONG doesn't suggest u to undermine the person infront of u without knowing their full story. The portrayal of STRONG FEMALE in this movie does nothing but ignite dislike towards her because if STRONG is HER, I don't wanna be HER. The misconception of feminism where u have to show a struggling female who has holier than thou attitude and who has to belittle men in order to prove she is better than them just because she has to earn everything but men have been handed everything, it has gotten old.

I don't know how military works, how healthcare works, how diabetes and its diagnosis works, what i know that's not how romance work, cause i don't see any reason for them to fall in love with each other. Cassie is so annoying as a character that nobody could live happily ever after with her. Luke is also not a walk in the park either. U can't even blame bipolar disorder for Cassie's behavior.

This movie was plotted and penned by the writer, director, producer, Sofia Carson over more than 5 years and it's hard to believe they came up with this. If they wanted to make a biopic on Sofia and her singing career, should have just gone for that. There was no need to create such an unlikable character to thrust down the audience's throat. And Sofia also mentioned she poured her heart and soul to write the music of this movie, but they didn't work for me in the movie, also hard to understand what she sang and I'm supposed to believe she is one of the best singers in the industry, NOT.

    Possibilities But Ultimately Pathetic
First of all... too much music. It's not good. The movie had no realism, based on people I have met. The writing is just not good. The acting is Lifetime quality.

They had the right basic elements, but the execution was pretty much a failure all the way through. Everything was tropes and memes. There is no "there" there.

I think Netflix has become a dumping ground for cheaply-made, zero-creativity fare. This is another in the pantheon of time-wasting movies. I would recommend something that is somewhat similar, but has a much better execution. Time would be better spent with "An Officer and a Gentleman."

    Wanted to like it
I liked the premise of this movie, was hoping for and expecting something cliche but heartwearming. The cliche part rang true, but there was no heart being warmed.

Sadly this movie was just kinda all over the place. There was no chemistry between the main characters, and neither one of them is likeable. Sat through the whole thing, and at the end I still couldn't care less about either one of them. All characters, including the supporting characters, were shallow and one- dimensional. It didn't feel like you got to know anyone at all. There was no humor, no warmth and no heart.

    Disappointed.

    Stunning
This film was nothing short of stunning, though it may not look like it. This is the telling of a new marine and a young woman who get married in order for her to gain benefits and be able to now afford medical supplies for herself. This new couple learn to appreciate one another and eventually truly fall in love with one another. This film shows an idea that may not be the most original, but is certainly there in execution. Throughout the telling of the story, I wanted nothing more than their true happiness and life together to be real, as drama takes hold of them when his past dealer demands money in order to pay off his debt of the past. This film is absolutely beautiful in its telling and certainly does stand out as amazing.
