    Some things can't be undone
I will start this from the perspective of someone who knew the story going in:

As someone who read the entirety of the 7 or so years of the Injustice comic series, I have been desperate to see a film adaptation.

We were close, so damn close, before Warner Brothers screwed over Zack Snyder and he along with Cavill, Affleck and others walked away from the project.

Instead we got this forced, non-descript version, truncated into 78 minutes. What a load of crap! Its animated, make it 2 hours, do it properly! You have the budget for it.

I mean, look at Justice League. I never watched the theatrical release, only the directors cut. Why would you have such a brilliant movie and NOT release it!?

So, that begs the question: When you have such an incredible story like 'Injustice', why put out such a meandered, rushed and unfulfilling version?

As a standalone film, it was fairly good. You could follow the storyline (as ridiculous as it seemed. I can only imagine how insane it must look to someone who hadn't/hasn't read the series first).

Despite the gross omissions and ridiculous editing, it doesn't come heavy handed and convoluted.

Its followable, but its a bit like watching the old SpiderMan cartoon from the 90's. Although this film didn't rush you to the end without explantion quite as fast. (If you've seen the series you know exactly what I mean)

DC always puts out fantastic animated features. However if you know what you're missing, it does not add up and leaves you unimpressed and wanting.

In a rare miss, the voice casting for this one seemed more impressive in the characters who don't see this out until the end.

    Very disappointing.

I will say that Gillian Jacobs has been the best to voice Harley Quinn since Arleen Sorkin originated the role in the animated series in 1992. Maybe if she were doing the voice in this new series instead of Kaley Cuoco it might make up for how awful it became after season 1. But I digress...

This could have easily been a series of films and I would gladly have purchased a box set to be able to watch at my leisure. But this is truly unforgivable.

There are some things that can't be undone. Sadly, this is one of them.

As a standalone film 7.5/10 Entertainment Value 8/10

As someone who read the series and wound up watching this:

Overall Rating 6/10 Entertainment Value 6/10

All in all with a fair opinion, I give this a 7/10 (rounded up from 6.5) Considering most of their other films are an easy 9 or 10 (and yes, I have read just about all the comic editions those were based off of also) this was a big, BIG, let down....like "The Killing Joke".

It very sad that *THIS* is all we get. Very depressing.

(Also i am aware that the premier release did not originate in comic form, and I don't care about that. The games bored me. Never played it past the 3rd stage. Became a horrible concept wasted on a pointless game. The mobile games were better than the console versions. Another blunder from DC/WB)

The real injustice is this movie
Really disappointing how little inspiration they took from the source material. The deaths are too sudden and devoid of emotional factor. The scenes with Harley Quinn and Green Arrow are completely pointless, also I found Harley Quinn's voice really annoying. The characters are underdeveloped and change their minds very quickly, especially Superman. Dick Grayson's death is the dumbest of all and to top it off he'll become a ghost to try and save his friends on a couple of occasions, it doesn't make any sense at all...

The only things worth mentioning are the animation, the design and voice acting.

    Just UGH!!!!!!
Having read the comics, when I started this movie and saw a total time of an hour and eighteen minutes I knew it was gonna suck. But then got to hear the voice acting and it was a horror show. The whole thing is rushed. And for some reason everyone they cast sounds like a freaking chipmunk on Crack. Warner has had some amazing voice scting in all the animated movies i have seen of theirs. But this one they just grabbed anyone they could it seems. This project shows warner brothers just wanted to cash in on the injustice name a little more, rather than make a quality 3 hour epic with actually decent voice acting, that it should have been.

From Someone Who Hasn't Played Either The Video Games Or Read The Comics......
The Good= Loved how Ruthlessly Brutal it was, and from what I know the First Act Does seems pretty accurate to the First Injustice Video Game nor read the Comics. In Terms of how it got started. I liked how it isn't just a one-track movie, and that one Character in Particular is Basically a Wild Card. It makes a lot of logical sense for his character to be the Wild Card, with out feeling like it is out of place. And as such it fits so well in to the story unlike Batman Verses Superman it doesn't work at all. All of the Humor in the Film particularly ones coming off of Harley Quinn are a Hit with me. And speaking of Hits, a lot of people say that the Animation in the DC Animation Films are Either Hots or Misses these days. And Agree with them full Heartly as I too find the Animation Styles and just the Animations in General are Hits and Misses. But for me with this Film it's one of those Rare Hits. And I also Like most of the Redesigns of the Costumes to Fit both the Comics and the Video Games, and same goes for the Character Designs as well for the most part.

Superman's motivation actually makes a lot of sense and not out of character at all. And at the same time you could see why Superman did what he did, and what his Ultimate Goal and Motivation was through out the rest of the film is after been pushed off the preverbal edge. I also like how you get a small sense of that long time friendship between Batman and Superman in the beginning. I also like how they where able to incorporate some Real-World Themes and Thought-Provoking Ideas and themes in the film. And unless I'm Missing anything else that she be it for the Positives.

The Bad= To start off the Pacing was way off, and I just didn't care about any of the characters. And that's not the only thing it is also too short and as such it has a Lot and I mean A Lot of Plot Holes. This should have been a Multipart Story Film like what they did with the Death Of Superman. Where the First Part is Titled The Death Of Superman, and the Second Part was Titled Reign Of The Supermen, kind of like that but only I was hoping this would be Injustice Part 1 and the next would Injustice Part 2 and so on. And because of it I somehow felt cheated. Just to flesh out not only the Story and have told better and much more cohesively but also the characters as well. And that brings me to my next point the Runtime is Ridiculously too Short with 1 Hr and 18 Minutes of Runtime give or take that's like the Average Run Time of a Disney Film, at least with the Disney they are Targeting kids and most if not all kids don't have long attention spans what is Injustice's excuse? And I really hate the Final Two Climatic Fights it just feels Rushed, however I do like it from a Pure Visual Point and that's about it. And speaking of Personally I also feel that the Conclusion to the Story as a Whole was Rushed and well Quit Stupid to be Perfectly and Brutally Honest. And Wonder Woman just feels all over the place unlike her Comic and the Video Games from what I know Wonder Woman actually plays an important part in the story, again unlike in this film where she's basically all over the place. And speaking of Wonder Woman I just feel that the Poster is sort of a lie.

And just like in Captain America Civil War I just don't see why each Team Member are on the Team that they are on at large, which sort of brings me back to the Plot Holes thing. And not only that but also the Teams kind of feels Unbalanced to me personally. By calling this Injustice I was expecting to feel like I was watching the Animated Version of the Video Game or at leas a shorten modified version of it. But sadly I didn't on any capacity, but instead if the would have called this something like say Justice League: Martel Law or something else like that I would have enjoyed this a lot more as is with the Abondance of Plot Holes and All. Because as far as I'm Concerned there is no Justice League Martel Law Story line any where. And Unless I'm Missing anything else that she should be it for the Negatives.

    Too rushed, too stuffed.
I like the Injustice video game series and the comic books that expand upon the storyline are nice as well, but this movie is just a mess. It tries to do too much in so little time it ultimately just lacks any of the emotional impact presented in prior media. The animation style I just didn't find very visually appealing, a bit too clean for me, and didn't really feel it gel with the storyline they were aiming to tell. As for the voice acting its generally serviceable but I have to wonder why not bring the same actors as the video game series? Raises an eyebrow...

Such a shame, could've worked out well but they dropped the ball pretty hard, should've been a two-parter instead of a one-and-done - big mistake there.
