Brahmastra: Love Struck or Astra-later? - A Cosmic Romp with More Heartbeats than Fireworks!
Welcome to 'Brahmastra: The Love Saga with a Dash of Astras'-a movie where love's in the air, but sadly, so are misplaced priorities! Cupid, put those arrows away; we need more Astra action! The love story felt more misplaced than your keys when you're running late.

Speaking of astras, where were they hiding? We needed a cosmic buffet of astras; sadly, we got more lovey-dovey than mystical powers. Note to self: next time, less smooches, more 'astras' please!

The story's flow? Let's just say it needed a GPS more than my uncle on a road trip. But hey, visual effects were great! It's like they splurged on CGI but forgot the roadmap for the plot.

Ranbir Kapoor and Mouni Roy-applause-worthy performances! If only they had a script to match their talent. Ayan Mukerji, kudos for aiming high! However, directing this magical mammoth needed a bit more, well, magic. But hey, everyone's gotta start somewhere, right?

Part 2, I've got my eye on you! Ayan, take those lessons from part 1, sprinkle some astras, tighten that storytelling, and voila! I'm rooting for you like a fan at a cricket match. Fingers crossed, part 2 becomes the 'Brahmastra' we've been waiting for!

Rating? 5 out of 10-because love's great, but astras make things 'out-of-this-world' amazing!

    The new aspect of Bollywood
Much of the world cinema is heading to Universe-based stories. Bollywood's take on this genre is a decent one. While the story is not that catchy but it flourished in some aspects of film making. Director Ayan Mukherjee tried his best as he spent his 10 years on this project. The BGM (background Music) is great. Multi starer movies are often rely upon being star struck and forget about the story. But. Brahmastra Part One: Shiva is a decent take in terms of plot and storyline. SRK and Nagarjuna's character seems brief but entertaining. However, I can't identify the genre of this film. Is it a Romantic-drama? A Super-hero Drama? Or Mythical/ Fantasy universe thriller? I have rated this higher than the average because the Story has the potential to be a good trilogy. The upcoming two films will be crucial for the franchise. Can they become a legendary franchise? Only the time will tell.

    Something new....
I personally thought this was a good part 1 to hopefully more parts to follow. Bollywood has shown us they are right up to par when it comes to cinematography and all tricks of the trade of visual effects! Bravo!

People are too hard on films. They continue to not support the industry not realizing how many people depend and survive through every single movie houses produce. This was a good movie. Movies are meant to entertain you. That is what this movie does, it was entertaining and keeps you interested for the next scene. I don't know what else the audience wants? Not every movie can be an Oscar Nomination. Books, movies and television in general requires people to use their imagination to feel the story, unfortunately many people now lack the ability to feel anything outside of tic tok.

Brahmastra is a visual spectacle with a haphazard plot.
This movie is said to be in making since 2011. However the final product doesn't reflect over a decade of commitment. The visual of this movie is excellent but the below average writing by Hussain Dalal and Ayan Mukherjee holds back the movie from reaching its potential. The content of the movie focuses on very many things and doesn't give each character or each aspect to shine. Ranbir Kapoor has given a very well performance even though his character doesn't demand very much of him. Alia Bhatt's character is very annoying and mostly sits by Ranbir as a eye candy. Even the hit song "kesariya" is placed very poorly in this movie as the movie diverges from the story for a quick song making you wish you could skip the song.

    Shockingly bad
Can't believe how bad the movie is. Acting has no part in it but the dialogues are the most poor. Visual affects are so immature that they tried to match it with marvel movies but went opposite direction. These kind of fiction movies can only be tolerated with good visual affects otherwise turns into garbage. I really hope they don't waste money into making part 2 . Deva.

I could watch wake up Sid movie so many times but this one I tried to finish it hardly in two days . Ayan MUKHERJEE was a good director but failed. No wonder Bollywood is suffering and near its death. So Disappointed. Don't waste your time.

    Nothing good but VFX
I expected a better dialogue delivery, acting and direction. Now I think I shouldn't have expected.

Pros: VFX is cool. Astra concept is good but exhibition and implementation of idea was not.

Cons: Casting (I guess because of paisa and pahuch) Dialogues.

NO BGM or thrilling music even with this much good visuals.

    Love story.

Unnecessary screen time to unnecessary actresses/actors.

    Irrelevant and poor jokes.

In BW, individuals are given more priority than the story and validity of scenes. SRK could have asked to generate tail from lower spine instead of his ankles. Just because he wouldn't look good, they changed the concept of Vanarastra or how monkey looks.

Similarly, just to cast and increase the time of Alia Bhatt (KAREN Johar) they increased her screen time making the movie, a boring love story rather than being in adventure (learn this atleast from Karthikey 2) and action genre.

A legacy for next generation of India...
It does have its faults, It is neither a bad movie nor great.

But one thing I am proud of about this movie or Ayan Mukherji is the vision he had about this movie, it's not only his vision but of many nerds who wanted India to have its franchisee, a cinematic universe that is related to our Indian culture...

Brahmastra is not a single movie or even a trilogy, it got the potential to create a massive cinematic universe and that is the reason why Ayan created the 'AstraVerse'.

If handled correctly then it could produce content & inspire us for the next 50 years, Ayan cannot do this alone so he'll need to hire talented nerds who could understand & develop his vision toward a better future.

Thank you Ayan Mukherji for giving this legacy to us, a goal, a motive, it is an opportunity to work & a reason to live for people like me, you have made our future a little hopeful, easy & bright.
