raposovarbr - 29 March 2024 Movie #1 Ron's Gone Wrong (Original)/Ron Bugado (PT-BR) (2021) Film #1
Starting this profile with the aim of giving ratings on films and series as I watch or rewatch them. I'll start by just watching animations and then move on to other types of films.
I intend to watch films from studio to studio, so I decided to start with this one because this studio only has this film, for now, and it would be quick for me to finish one studio and then I'll go to the Laika studio which has few films too.
About the film, it is a surprising film, it is very good for a company's first film, it cannot be compared to the beginnings of Pixar (with Toy Story), Disney (with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs), Illumination (with Despicable Me ), Blue Sky (with Ice Age), or even Laika (with Coraline).
But it's a great start, which made me curious to watch the studio's next works.
Regarding the characters, I really liked most of them, especially Grandma, who is totally funny, Barney and Ron are great protagonists, I really rooted for them.
From the beginning of the film I sympathized with Savannah so it was calm when they got together, but at no point was I able to sympathize with Ricardo (PT-BR), nor at the end was I able to like this character, which is why the rating came in 7.
I don't know if it's because I'm going through a difficult time at 27, but I could see myself in Barney, and I even cried in that film.
It has a story that can be compared to Big Hero 6 but I wouldn't see it as a copy.
I'm Brazilian, so I usually watch animations dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese, and the Brazilian dubbing of this film is wonderful.
I believe that the past generation (maybe even my generation is included in this) will think depression, cyberbullying is silly and nonsense, but it's not.
It was obvious that Barney was depressed at the beginning of the film, because his friends had distanced themselves from him and Ron saved him.
It's a great film, which I highly recommend.
Next Film: Corpse Bride (Original)/A Noiva Cadáver (PT-BR) (2005)
Film Watched on March 29, 2024.
Rating: 7/10.
Kerriecarlisle - 22 July 2022 How had I not heard of this. Me (34) and toddler loved this. I came across it on Disney plus and don't remember seeing any publicity for this in the UK.
I've also never noticed how much Zach Galifianakis sounds like John Mulaney!
cmeneses-74957 - 29 May 2022 Excellent movie for father and son Watched this with my 8 YO boy. Great movie for us to bond. The third act is a little long but for a kid his age all the jokes were on point. I know he will watch it again. Recommend it 100%.
kindakim - 23 March 2022 The ending was HORRIBLE It makes no sense why he lost ron. Stupid movie. If everyone has a bot at the end with rons data why cant he get a bot with rons same code. Its genuinely the stupidest plot hole ever. Not suitable for kids. I watched it with my kids and they would not stop crying the entire night because the ending was so sad and empty. Kids movies are supposed to end happily. Save ur tears. The rest of the movie was amazing.
