Lack of common sense and demonstrating stupidity.
The Blue Beetle movie had a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it fell short in many areas. One of the main issues was with the character development. The characters felt shallow and underdeveloped, making it hard for the audience to connect with them on a deeper level. This was especially disappointing considering the rich backstory and complexity of the Blue Beetle comic book series. The movie missed an opportunity to explore the emotional depth and growth of the characters, which could have added a layer of depth to the overall narrative. Additionally, the pacing of the story was uneven, with moments of intense action followed by lulls in the plot. This made it difficult to maintain a consistent level of engagement throughout the film. Despite these shortcomings, the movie did have its strengths. The visual effects were impressive, bringing the Blue Beetle's powers and the world of superheroes to life. The action sequences were exciting and well-choreographed, providing some thrilling moments for fans of the genre. However, these positives were not enough to overcome the lack of character development and uneven storytelling. Overall, the Blue Beetle movie had the potential to be a standout superhero film, but it ultimately fell short due to shallow characters and missed opportunities for emotional depth..

Promising start.... But then it seemed NEVERENDING!
So started off interesting and with likeable characters and then it was just lots of fighting and explosions and everything just dragged on. Becoming boring and predictable just generally mediocre. It lost the spark it started with. Sometimes less is more. Focus on the story telling and add the big bangs later. If there's nothing holding it together but fluff then people switch off. Didn't really feel like there was much chemistry between the love interests. The family chemistry was pretty realistic.

Some of the plot was so full of holes that it made no sense. In a world full of latest tech the fact that they were not tracked sooner is just ridiculous. The only reason we "watched" till the end was because I had to.

I'm surprised they are continuing this. My only hope is they put more effort into the plot and less into the CGI. Excellent though it was.

    Host Overreacting...
I went in with an open mind hoping to enjoy this, but sadly it's just not a very good movie. The script is awful which directly affects the performances. It didn't matter whether the actors were good or not because the writing was so bad that it made their job an impossible task. I really enjoyed Xolo Maridueña in Cobra Kai and he does what he can, but much like the rest of the cast the horrible dialogue is just too much for him to overcome. The only actor who is able to maintain some semblance of dignity (ironically) is George Lopez. The writers knew exactly what they wanted to do with Rudy and his character was the best written in the film. It is obvious that Susan Sarandon is having a good time playing a cartoon villain but she had a lot more success playing an actual cartoon villain in Enchanted. Here she is just over-the-top in a movie that can't decide whether it wants to be superhero or reality based. Overall, I can see why this did so poorly and that no one saw it. I wish I hadn't.
